A Note from Your Supervisor
The Call to the Work
You haven't arrived here by accident. Choosing a practicum site is more than a box to check on your degree requirements; it is an initiation. It is the moment you step out of the textbooks and into the sacred, messy, and profound space of the human heart. My role as your supervisor is walk with you and hold a lantern as you navigate the transition from student to practitioner. I don't believe in "producing" therapists; I believe you have innate wisdom that led you here and my role is to reflect that wisdom within you as I offer guidance, mentorship and coaching, and you ground yourself in clinical practices.
Where Experience Meets Intuition
With over 12 years of walking this path, my approach to supervision is a blend of ingredients for growth: reflection, honesty, openness, and soulful presence. My background in teaching has taught me that the best learning doesn’t happen through lectures, but through curiosity and connection. I see our supervision sessions as a collaborative laboratory; a place where we deconstruct the theories, challenge the "shoulds" of the industry, and find the authentic voice that lives beneath your clinical notes, inside you.
I’m not interested in a "perfect" version of you. I’m interested in the version of you that is brave enough to be human in the room with your clients.

The Power of the Circle
One of the deepest parts of my work is a passion for circles. I believe that healing happens best in containers of shared witnessing. We are all reflections of one another: made of light and dark parts. This philosophy permeates how I supervise:

We work in circles, not hierarchies: While I provide the clinical oversight and safety you need, I view us as peers in the evolution of this field and honour the privilege it is to share encouragement, insights, lessons learned, and guidance.
