Here's what I believe.
I believe healing begins when we connect with others. Compassion, validation, and safety are essential in this process. When we feel seen, heard, supported, respected, and empowered, we can explore the difficult parts of life with curiosity rather than self-criticism. An important part of this process is exploring how the words we use, both with others and ourselves, shape how we make sense of life.
I believe in creative and collaborative approaches that are responsive to each person's strengths, values, and lived experiences. Let’s work together to uncover your strengths and find meaningful ways to move forward.
Why I Care.
I care because the challenges and hardships people experience are real and valid. Some might believe that struggles must be faced alone, but that’s not the case: we prosper through connection. Having someone to listen, support, and walk alongside can open space for understanding, strength, and growth. I want to help people recognise their strengths, explore what matters to them, and take steps toward the changes they hope for in their lives. I believe that everyone has the capacity to grow, change, and handle what life throws at them. Even small experiences of support and understanding can create meaningful transformation.
My Education & Credentials.
I am a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology student at Yorkville University. Previously, I’ve completed a graduate certificate in Psychosocial Rehabilitation at Douglas College and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Thompson Rivers University.
I have close to a decade of experience in the helping field within a variety of areas and demographics. I have worked with youth and adults involved in the Criminal Justice System, survivors of sexual assault, postpartum parents, adults with support needs, and those experiencing anxiety.
