Here's what I believe.

I believe that every interaction—whether with others, within ourselves, or in the spaces we inhabit—is shaped by the unique perspectives, experiences, values, and stories we each bring. These elements form the core of who we are, often influencing us in ways we’ve yet to fully understand.

I believe that our individuality and diversity are not challenges to overcome, but powerful assets. When supported by the right guidance, information,  wisdom, and encouragement, these personal qualities can become strengths that fuel growth, resilience, and purpose.

At our best, we are not only connected by our shared humanity, but elevated by our differences. I believe in helping others discover and harness what makes them unique—to build lives, relationships, and communities rooted in meaning, authenticity, and impact.

Why I Care.

I have always been drawn to the depth and complexity of people’s stories—the unique ways they see their world and the choices they make in how they show up in it. I’m inspired by the resilience and strength people carry, often in quiet, powerful ways, as they navigate challenges and shape their own paths forward. It’s a profound honour to walk alongside individuals from all walks of life, bearing witness to their growth, healing, and transformation.

Over the past three decades, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals and families through crisis and change—offering calm, guidance, education, empowerment, and practical solutions tailored to their unique needs and lived experiences. My professional journey has included roles in Family Mediation, Conflict Coaching, Crisis and Hostage Negotiation, Behavioural Counselling, Victim Services, and Applied Psychology and Counselling. In every setting, my commitment has remained the same: to meet people where they are, with compassion, cultural sensitivity, and respect for their values and perspectives.

Through my own life experiences and plenty of grace, I’ve come to understand how vital it is to make sense of our personal and collective narratives—to know what has shaped us, to learn from where we’ve stumbled, and to choose how we move forward. I believe that even in the moments when we are not our best selves, there is deep value, empowerment,  and opportunity for growth and exploration.

My approach to therapy is holistic and individualized. I honour each client’s unique story and work collaboratively to support their goals, healing, and resilience. Above all, I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and affirming space—where people feel genuinely seen, supported, and empowered to create meaningful change in their lives.

Why People Work With Me

Clients often choose to work with me because I see them—not just their struggles, but their whole selves. I value both the weight of their challenges and the quiet power of their strengths. Together, we sift through the noise of difficulty to uncover the resilience, grit, and inner wisdom that often go unnoticed.

As someone who shares many of the lived experiences my clients bring to counselling—whether as a woman, immigrant, spouse, parent, or former front-line worker—I offer not just understanding, but solidarity. I know what it means to live through uncertainty and to begin again. I believe that healing and growth are not linear, and that each step forward, no matter how small, matters deeply.

There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” – Maya Angelou

I offer a space where those stories can be shared, honored, and transformed. I walk alongside my clients as a fellow traveler in their journey—through self-discovery, reinvention, and vulnerability. My approach is not about fixing, but about finding: the path, the voice, the solution that fits their life best.

“The wound is the place where the light enters you.” – Rumi
Together, we look for that light.

I believe in the courage it takes to show up, and I meet that courage with presence, empathy, and hope. Each session is a reminder that while pain may be part of the story, so is strength—and there is always room to grow, even in the most uncertain seasons.
