Here's what I believe.
I believe that everyone is the leader of their own life and every person has the strength and capability to dream great things and achieve difficult goals. We all have unique stories and
different barriers in the ways of achieving our dreams and goals, and our stories have led us to who we are today.
I also believe that creativity is one of the many ways we can create community and empower people to explore their unique selves, through which people are introduced to
their strengths and pathways for healing. I believe that working in a culturally safe and caring space can give freedom to be creative and expressive, thus can foster healing.
Why I Care.
I am passionate about helping people, especially kiddos, understand that they do not need to go through the difficult times in their lives alone and that it is natural to lean on others and ask for help.
As a counsellor, I make an effort to walk beside my clients and empower them. They are
the leaders of their own lives and I journey beside them and all of their beautiful nuances.
My Education & Credentials.
I have a Master of Education degree and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor. I like to use

Why People Work With Me

I am a cisgener, white female with European ancestries who was born and raised in Kamloops, BC, and I make an ongoing effort to challenge my Western biases and privileges. I try to show my clients my humanness, and I understand the importance and value in truly seeing the person in front of me. I recognize that my learning about cultures and how I show up in sessions will be a life-long journey, and I currently try to see my clients by allowing them to guide their own sessions. I aim to look at healing in a holistic
approach, and I find joy in humbly learning from my clients.

When my clients lead their sessions, I am open to working with the mind-body connection in ways that may stray from traditional talk-therapy approaches. Working with various creative arts therapies can bring new information to the conscious awareness, and I guide clients through their experiences using a trauma-informed approach. My anti-violence and feminist background assists in giving space and time for processing experiences and healing.
