Empowered Parenting: Navigating ADHD Together
Session 4: Thriving, Not Just Surviving - Advocacy & Self Care
May 24: 9am-11:30am
đ§ââď¸ You are their advocate AND you canât pour from an empty cup.
Hereâs the thing, parentsâyou canât give your best to your family if youâre constantly running on empty. Itâs not selfish to take care of yourself. Itâs NECESSARY.
In Session 4, we'll explore advocacy roles and the importance of holding your child accountable. Because guess what? ADHD is with them forever, so they aren't "off the hook" for self-responsibility. Balancing advocacy and accountability can cause confusion for many parents - and we'll unpack it.
Let's not forget about the importance of managing the stress that comes with parenting a child with ADHD because... parenting a child with ADHD can feel like running a marathon that never ends. But hereâs the truth: If youâre running on empty, you canât show up as the parent your child needs.
In this transformative workshop, I will address three essential areas to empower you as a parent and a person: why it is vital for you to manage your stress, ideas for a personalized self-care plan that works for YOUR life, not someone elseâs Instagram-perfect version of it, and foundational knowledge about being an advocate for your child while helping them practice self-responsibility.
This is about thriving as a parent, not just surviving the day-to-day. It can feel very lonely in this parenting journey. But...youâre not alone, and you donât have to do this all by yourself. You need to be equipped to show up the way you want most of the time (because remember, you're human) and practice self-compassion on those tough days that you want to pull our hair out.
đ Added benefit: Learn about thriving with a group of parents who can understand and relate to each other.
You deserve this. Your child deserves this. Letâs thrive togetherâsign up now!
